GEODORA at Expo Rose 2025: An Olfactory Tribute to Claudia Cardinale
Grasse, a City of Art and History, is asserting its identity more than ever, where art finds its place around every corner.
On the occasion of Expo Rose 2025, a unique exhibition will take place in the crypt of Grasse Cathedral starting May 8.
This poetic encounter between photography and perfumery brings together the sensitive eye of photographer Élias and the olfactory expertise of Grasse’s perfumers.
Each portrait on display is interpreted through a bespoke fragrance, unveiling a subtle dialogue between image and scent.
On this occasion, GEODORA had the honor of illustrating the portrait of Claudia Cardinale through scent — an iconic figure whose grace and journey deeply resonate with the brand’s universe.
For this project, GEODORA unveils a preview of Swing Néroli, one of the extrait de parfum creations from its upcoming collection.
A range conceived as an ode to intense emotions, noble materials, and rich sensory experiences — true to the house’s DNA.
Swing Néroli – An Inspired Creation, Between Cinema and the Mediterranean
Swing Néroli is an original creation by Gérard Gatti, founder of the GEODORA brand, as well as perfumer and director of Fragrances Concerto, our fragrance composition house dedicated to serving brands.
Fragrances Concerto is a member of Grasse Expertise and, like GEODORA, is deeply committed to preserving and promoting Grasse’s heritage.
This fragrance dazzles with its multicolored facets. The majestic bitter orange tree releases its golden aromas, blending luminous zest with sunlit nectar. Its invigorating freshness contrasts with the sweet softness of dates, like melting jewels on sun-kissed skin.
At the heart, a tender and voluptuous rose whispers promises of the Orient. Its scent, as gentle as a childhood memory, melts into the delicate sweetness of Turkish delight—velvety with sugar and honey.
Woods and musks extend this sensory caress with a warm, enveloping embrace.
Swing Néroli was born from the intersection of several passions: cinema, writing, and perfumery.
Inspired by the portrait of Claudia Cardinale, the legendary actress of cult films (Once Upon a Time in the West by Sergio Leone, The Leopard by Luchino Visconti), this fragrance pays tribute to her free-spirited, playful, and radiant beauty.
Her Italian roots, shared with the creator of GEODORA, and her childhood in Tunisia—the main setting of the novel Effluve Express E57—naturally led to this olfactory evocation.
Composed around citrus fruits from southern Italy, enriched with neroli essence from Tunisia, and brightened with a hint of rose—an homage to the Claudia Cardinale rose created in 1997—Swing Néroli celebrates a radiant Mediterranean beauty with timeless charm.
GEODORA will soon reveal more details about this new line of extrait de parfum, which the house is eager to share with the world.
