To walk along the Brighton Pier is to taste the charms of a space between land and sea where fresh and invigorating air circulates, iodised and charged with the smell of wild grasses that line the fine sand dunes. The heart of the seaside resort smells of bergamot and violet leaves that I associate with the solar energy of ylang-ylang and the more tonic ones of lavandin and mugwort. Under my footsteps, the wood of the quay crackles and releases an overdose of vetiver, cedar and sandalwood. It is with the evocation of this elegant seaside resort that I created BRIGHTON PIER.

In the context of perfumery, “fougère” refers to a fragrance family characterized by a combination of lavender, coumarin, and oakmoss, which together create a fresh, green, and slightly woody scent reminiscent of fern forests. “Ozonique” or “ozonic” refers to a fresh, airy note that evokes the smell of clean air after a thunderstorm or the scent of the sea breeze.
